How to Play

Play Victor and Valentino Monster Kicks online for free. Monster Kicks is a friendly soccer ball kicking game where Victor and Valentino dribble then pass the ball back and forth to hit mud monsters. Gain experience, buy in game upgrades, and see if you can beat the high score. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Click the orange, green and white play button in the bottom center of the game’s welcome screen.
The bottom of the welcome screen also contains buttons for accessing the in game upgrades shop and a settings button for adjusting music and sound settings.
Your web browser automatically saves your high score, coin savings, and purchased in game upgrades.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Left click your mouse to kick the ball from Victor to Valentino or from Valentino to Victor.
  - Time your kicks to hit the mud monsters.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Use your finger to touch the screen to kick the ball.
    - The game shows your current score in the upper left corner. The upper right corner shows how many heart containers you have remaining and has a pause button. When the game is paused you can turn sound on or off.
    - Game Play
      - Dying
        Each mud monster which makes it to the left edge of the screen costs you a heart container.
        When you lose heart containers it is game over.
        Monster Types
        Most monsters have a decently large cross section, move slowly, and can be killed with a single hit.
        Larger monsters may take multiple kicks to kill.
        The hardest monsters to hit are the rabbits since they run quickly.
        Scoring
        Each individual enemy you hit with a kick is worth 10 points.
        The game uses a bonus system where hitting more enemies with a single kick is worth a geometrically increasing number of points.
        2 mud monsters is worth 100 points.
        3 mud monsters is worth 1000 points.
        4 mud monsters is worth 3000 points.
        5 mud monsters is worth 5000 points.
        For every 100 points you score you get a coin which can be used at the in game shop.
        Play Upgrades
        You can upgrade Jawbreaker, Jalapeno, or Obsidian Mirror up to 5 times each.
        Upgrades start at 50, 100 and 200 respectively & grow geometrically.
        Jawbreaker costs 50, 100, 300. 800 and 1500.
        Jalapeno costs 100, 300, 800, 1500 and 3000.
        Obsidain Mirror costs 200, 500, 1000, 2500 and 5000.
        Jawbreaker makes the ball larger, giving it a bigger cross section.
        This starts with the ball getting a bit bigger on each kick until it is quite large.
        The jawbreaker upgrade is a bit bittersweet as one can get acclimated to making combo shots with the big ball and then make errors missing mud monsters as soon as the power goes away.
        Jalapeno leaves a fiery trail behind the ball.
        Enemies which run into the fire are hit and count toward the kick combo.
        Obsidian Mirror causes shockwaves.
        The shockwave happens only when Valentino kicks a ball at Victor and hits a mud monster.
        Part of that mud monster hits other mud monsters further right on the screen.
        Other monsters hit by the shockwaves count as part of your score multiplier.
        The upgrades are not perpetually equipped, but rather are in-game items which appear periodically just like monsters do.
        You have to hit the upgrades with a ball to activate them.
        Upgrades come rarely. If you play a rather long game you might see 3 or 4.
        Ball Upgrades
        You can purchase 8 additional soccer balls in addition to the default ball. The ball types are: star, polka dot, crystal, flame, lucha, skull, eyeball and spirit.
        Ball upgrades cost 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2000 and 3000 points each.
        Ball upgrades are purely cosmetic and do not otherwise impact gameplay.
        Strategy
        If a rabbit is near the top or bottom of the screen then try to have the player nearer to it have the ball to hit them with it.
        Try to hit multiple mud monsters at once to maximize your score.
        If you have an active in-game upgrade be aware it can go away without any notice.
        You do not lose points or health for making extra kicks, so if a part of the game is congested don’t be afraid to rapidly kick multiple times. If you kick early you can keep kicking more times, whereas if you kick late you can never hit a monster which is already past you.
        Victor and Valentino are not always vertically aligned in the game. One character may run a bit out in front of the other for a while. This change in relative positioning can impact your kick angle.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for Victor & Valentino and soccer fans of all ages.
        The game has no adult themed content.
